Gettalking Languages takes the privacy of your information very seriously and this policy outlines our conduct of how we collect and use the Data that is provided.

The policy outlines Gettalking’s commitment to protect personal information. It is equally important for Gettalking to be compliant and by doing so we have adopted regulatory, statutory and industry guidelines to manage all personal data securely.
The term “Personal Data” refers to personally identifiable information about “you”, such as your name, e-mail address or postal address etc…

For purposes of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Gettalking is the “data controller”.
We will retain any Data that you have provided Gettalking for a minimum of 6 months where applicable;
Customer and supplier data will be retained for up to 3 months after ceasing to be a client/supplier.
Prospective Customer data will be retained for up to 3 months after the end of the enquiry.
Feedback and Facial Image data will be retained for up to 10 years for use on the website/marketing.
Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to any third-party disclosures specifically set out in this policy, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties.
All Personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of GDPR. For more details on security see the clause below (Security).
Any or all the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Website. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:

We ensure that all data held and processed by Gettalking is only accessed by employees and approved 3rd party suppliers. We endeavour to do our best to protect your Personal Data. However, transmission of information over the internet is not entirely secure and its done at your own risk. We cannot ensure the security of your Personal Data transmitted to the Website.
13. Subject Access Request
You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your Personal Data held by Gettalking as a Subject Access Request (SAR’s). All requests must be in writing and addressed to the Lisa Fanthome-Hodgson, the request may include but not limited to;
· Copies of emails and letters
· Invoices
· Name, address, etc.
Gettalking will aim to acknowledge any Subject Access Request within 48hrs of receipt and complete the process within 30 days. In some cases, processing SAR’s may take longer, and it is Gettalking’s duty to keep you informed.
This is non-chargeable request; however, Gettalking has the rights to charge a ‘reasonable fee’ when a request is manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
14. ‘Right to be Forgotten’
Gettalking Staff, Customers, Sub-contractors & Suppliers, Website User shall have the right to obtain from the Lisa Fanthome-Hodgson to delete personal data concerning them without undue delay.
It is her obligation to erase personal data without undue delay where one of the following grounds applies:
Where the controller has made the personal data public and is obliged pursuant to section 32 to erase the personal data, the controller, taking account of available technology and the cost of implementation, shall take reasonable steps, including technical measures, to inform relevant data controllers which are processing the personal data that the individual has requested for deletion
The above will not apply to the extent that processing is necessary:
a) for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information;
b) for compliance with a legal obligation which requires processing by a Union or Member State law to which the controller is subject or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
c) for reasons of public interest around public health in accordance with points (h) and (i) of Article 9 GDPR (2) and (3);
d) for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes in accordance with Article 89 GDPR (1) in so far as the right referred to in paragraph 1 is likely to render impossible or seriously impair the achievement of the objectives of that processing; or
e) for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
15. General
You may not transfer any of your rights under this privacy policy to any other person. We may transfer our rights under this privacy policy where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.
